Taya Larson

My name is Taya Larson and I have been teaching since 2001. I graduated from Millikin University with my Bachelors of Music. I also completed my Masters in Professional Development from UW-LaCrosse in 2005.

I taught K-12 general music and choir in Albany from 2001-2010, along with show choir and directed the musicals.  From 2010-2026, I taught MS and HS Choir and MS and HS show choir. I also directed a couple of musicals there.  Some of the most memorable moments have come from the music trips that I have taken with my students to Orlando, NYC, and Memphis/Nashville.

I currently live in Oregon, WI, with my husband Rob, daughter Brinley and Cavapoo, Frankie. We love traveling to new places and seeing the world! But when it comes right down to it, we like staying home and enjoying all that the area has to offer as well. This includes all the hometown festivals, concerts, live shows and golf courses in and around Madison.

I am excited for a new school year and am looking forward to working with all of the students. Most importantly, I can't wait to share our music and talents with the community!
