School safety and security is a top priority of our school district and requires everyone in our school and community to be a proactive in helping Deerfield continue to be a great place for kids to learn and grow. Keeping our students and staff safe includes several practices and protocols that are utilized daily such as parking lot and bus safety, non-violent crisis intervention, medical/health events, inclement weather, tornado/fire/safety drills and general building maintenance, to name just a few. In all areas, our goal is to be informed and prepared.
We encourage our school community to review the links on the left side menu under Safety & Security to learn more about the specific safety and security topics of Reunification, School Closings, Speak Up Speak Out and Threat Assessment Protocol.
