Regular Open Enrollment
The Regular Open Enrollment application period is open from February 2, 2026-April 30, 2026. Families must submit an application through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's online Open Enrollment system during the application period.
How to Apply
1. Complete the online application through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction during the regular application period.
2. Watch for notification from the resident and nonresident school districts regarding your application status.
3. Complete any required enrollment forms if your application is approved.

Alternative Application Process
If you missed the Regular Open Enrollment application period, you may still be eligible to apply through the Alternative Open Enrollment application process. This application opens on July 1, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Alternative applications may be submitted only if the student meets one or more of the eligibility criteria established by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
Alternative applications are reviewed according to Wisconsin statutes and DPI requirements. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on whether the student's circumstances meet one of the allowable criteria.
