Director of Pupil Services Email Phone: 608.764.5431 As Director of Pupil Services, I oversee programs for children identified as needing Special Education and/or At-Risk Services. The teaching staff, counselors, support staff and paraprofessionals work together to ensure that all students in Deerfield are provided with a quality education and positive school experience. I worked as a Special Education teacher in the district at all levels for 27 years. This year will be my third year in the role of Director of Special Education and Pupil Services.
My elementary and high school education was completed in Cambridge, so I have lived in this area all my life. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I returned to UW-W and continued my education by earning a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities. Five years ago, I decided to pursue a Pupil Services license through University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I currently live in Fort Atkinson with my husband and have two daughters in college.
I am excited to begin the 2024-2025 school year. I believe in developing appropriate, positive relationships between the district, students and their parents. I am always open to communication, please contact me via email anytime or by phone during school hours.
