Bradley Bernarde

Hello! I'm Brad Bernarde, and I am excited to teach social studies here at Deerfield High School.

I have been teaching social studies since 2018, having spent previous years teaching at Wausau East High School before joining the Deerfield team in 2026. Originally from Marathon, WI, my wife and I are both proud UW-Madison graduates and were thrilled to return to the area with our family.

In my classroom, I aim to make history and social sciences relevant, engaging, and thought-provoking. I enjoy helping students draw connections between past events and the world today, developing critical thinking skills, and becoming curious, informed citizens. 

Outside the classroom, I love cooking, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my wife and our two young children. I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year—please feel free to reach out anytime!
