Course Syllabus
This math class will focus on two parts: building basic computational skills and working on everyday life skills related to math such as money skills, time skills, measurement, etc. On a daily basis, students will be involved in hands on activities to help with skill development.
Classroom Expectations
Students will be expected to participate on a daily basis in solving problems on the white board as well as the SmartBoard. Students will be asked to work independently as well as in small groups on various assignments and projects. By the end of the semester, students should have a better understanding on the steps to set up and solve basic math problems. They should also have a better understanding of how the skills they have acquired can be applied in everyday life tasks and on the job.
