Kristen Kroll

Hello! My name is Kristen Kroll.  Originally from South Florida, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Sciences in 1999 from Valdosta State University.  I then taught English in Vietnam for a year before returning to the states to complete my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Providing speech and language therapy in pre-k, elementary, middle, and high schools in South Florida from 2001 to 2006 gave me the opportunity to work with students with a variety of speech and language needs. My family then moved to Thailand in 2007, where I had the opportunity to work with children in a multicultural context.  In 2016, I worked again as a speech pathologist in a public school district in Florida until my family moved to Madison, WI in 2019.   I joined the speech/language team at Deerfield Elementary in August 2023.  I enjoy hiking, swimming, spending time with my husband and two daughters, sewing, painting, sports, gardening, and theater.  It is a joy to teach the wonderful students here in Deerfield!
