Meet Mrs. Leigh
Hello! My name is Mrs. Leigh (pronounced Lee), and I am so proud to be a 1st grade teacher at Deerfield Elementary School. The 2025–2026 school year marks my 28th year of teaching here in Deerfield—time truly flies when you love what you do!
I graduated from Edgewood College in Madison, WI with degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Deerfield is not only where I teach, but also where I live with my husband, Jasen, and where we raised our three wonderful children—McCoy, Jaimeson, and Kadence. I am also a proud Deerfield alumni, having attended middle and high school here myself. This community is truly home, and I feel blessed to be able to give back to it every day.
In my classroom, my goal is for every child to feel loved, motivated, challenged, and successful. I value open communication and believe strongly in partnering with families to support each child’s learning journey. Together, we can create meaningful experiences that help children grow not only as learners but as kind, caring individuals.
