The middle/high school commons/cafeteria is two areas pieced together. The original cafeteria built in 1966 is marked by the terrazzo floor and the newer commons on the other side of the pillars was added on in 1997 as seen by the blue and white tile floor. The original cafeteria area is used to operate three lunch lines simultaneously to offer students two hot entrees and a salad bar. A la carte Alley is used for food storage and serves as a small concession area for evening events. The proposed plan would relocate the kitchen and cafeteria to a larger space to improve serving efficiencies and seating capacity. Did you know that Ala carte Alley used to be the high school main office when the building opened in 1966-67?
