The main entrance to the middle/high school marks the combination of two building eras. The original structure built in 1966 is evidenced by the sand colored brick at the front doors and the brick pillars in the hall. At that time the building included the halls to the west, the large gymnasium and a small part of the current cafeteria, as seen through the double doors. The 1978 addition included the middle school portion of the building to the east. As with many original parts of the building, the ceilings were very low. A Fun Fact: Many students and adults can reach up and touch the wood transition strip between the two ceiling levels. It is just a few inches higher than the top of the door frames.
