Spanish I Study Links
Syllabus
Spanish I is an introductory language class that will offer students the opportunity to begin develoing the four basic skills of language: speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Students will work with sets of basic vocabulary and grammar in this one semester, block class.
Spanish I will cover topics such as:
Vocabulary
- An introductory set of vocabulary, including short lists in useful categories
- greetings, farewells, numbers, time, body parts, weather, the calendar, school supplies
- Common activities, likes/dislikes
- Personal descriptions--personality and physical
- Classes and classroom objects
- Food and Health
- Destinations
- Sports
- Family and Celebrations
- Parts of the house and Chores
Grammar
- Gustar/Encantar
- Ser and Estar
- Subject Pronouns
- AR/ER/IR verb forms
- Common irregular verbs
- Plurals of nouns and adjectives
- Comparisons
- Possessive adjectives
