METHODS OF ASSESSING STUDENT PROGRESS:
Students will be assessed by means of written tests, homework, labs and final exams. Grades will be weighted by the following:
Homework: 10 %
Labs: 20 %
Tests: 50 %
Finals: 20 %
RE - TESTING PROCEDURES:
If you do poorly on a chapter test, you can re-take the test one time and the two scores will be averaged. In order to re-take the test you will need to:
1. Make Test Corrections on a Separate Sheet of Paper (show all work)
2. Set up a Time to Meet with the instructor to go over test corrections and schedule a time outside of class and the school day to re-take the test.
3. Re-Take the test prior to the next Chapter’s Test Date.
Homework, Labs, and Finals cannot be re-taken.
LATE ASSIGNMENTS:
Any assignment requested for turn-in to the instructor will be due at the prescribed time. Late assignments will not be accepted
FINAL COURSE GRADE:
Final grades assigned for the course will be:
A 93 – 100 %
A- 90 – 92.99 %
B+ 87 – 89.99 %
B 82 – 86.99 %
B- 80 – 81.99 %
C+ 77 – 79.99 %
C 72 – 76.99 %
C- 70 – 71.99 %
D 60 – 69.99 %
F 00 – 59.99 %
All work assigned will be graded. Not all homework problems will be graded, but a few randomly selected problems from each assignment will be graded.
