DCSD Registration Directions for 2011-2012 School Year
Fall registration opens online Thursday, July 21st. The student registration process will be done through the district website. Parents/Guardians can take advantage of EXPRESS REGISTRATION by completing the steps below PRIOR to coming to registration. Computers will also be available on registration day with school staff available to provide assistance.
STEP 1 Skyward Family Access- ALL student information must be completed through the Skyward Online parent portal. Paper copies will NO longer be handwritten. This information must be updated annually by the parent/guardian. This may be completed online PRIOR to registration and printed to bring to registration for verification -- OR -- a computer will be available for you to update Skyward on registration day.
Directions:
- Click the Skyward Family Access link above in #1. Enter your username and password
- Your child’s name will be listed at the top of the page, and will appear in the “Start Registration” box. If you have multiple children you will need to update the information for each child by clicking the down arrow next to each name. Student names appear in alphabetical order.
- Click the “Start Registration for…” button for your child.
- Click on Step 1) “Verify Ethnicity/Race Info”. Make any changes and save. You will return to the registration screen and you must click the box next to “Step 1 has not been completed” to move to Step 2.
- Click on Step 2) “Verify Student Information”. It is very important that you review and update EVERY section under Student Information.
- Click “Request Change(s) to Student Information”- (Update and click SAVE)
- Click “Request Change(s) to Family Address” – (Update and click SAVE)
- Click “Request Change(s) to Family Information”-Enter an email address that can be used to receive school communications and private information about your child’s progress (Update and click SAVE)
- Click “Request Change(s) to Alert Information”-(Update and click SAVE)
- Click “Request Change(s) to Emergency Contacts”-If applicable, please add your Childcare Provider name and phone number as a contact, please note “Childcare Provider” in the Comments box. (Update and click SAVE)
- Scroll to the top of the page and click the “Back” button in the upper right of the window to return to the registration screen. You must click the box next to “Step 2 has not been completed” to move to Step 3.
- Click on Step 3) “Annual Health and Custody Form” - This fillable form must be updated annually by the parent/guardian. Type in your child’s name and fill out the information on both pages. PRINT both pages, sign and bring to registration for verification. Once you have completed this step, close the document by selecting the X in the top right corner. You will return to the registration screen and you must click the box next to “Step 3 has not been completed” to move to the Final Step. (If you do not bring a completed Annual Health and Custody Form to registration, you will be directed to a computer to complete this step.)
- Click on Final Step) “Complete registration for (student’s name) for the 2011-2012 school year”. You will see a Review Online Registration Steps screen showing the date and time you completed each of the steps.
- Click “Complete Online Registration” on the right side. You will return to the main screen with a message stating that you have completed registration for your child.
- Select “Student Information” from the left side menu bar. VERY IMPORTANT STEP: Select “PRINT” at the top right of the screen and bring the document to registration for verification.
**Repeat the above steps for all students in your family. Remember to print a Student Information sheet and the Annual Health and Custody Form for EACH student and bring to registration.
STEP 2 Fee Sheet(s) - Individual Student Fee Sheets are enclosed in this mailing. Select the fees and activities appropriate to your child’s grade level. Please fill out the fee sheet(s) and bring to registration. Fee sheets will be VERIFIED and totaled at registration.
· Fees may be paid on registration day via check or cash.
· Fees may be pre-paid online by selecting “E-Fund Internet Payments” on the district website. If choosing this option, you MUST print a screen receipt and bring to registration for verification.

EXPRESS REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS TO BRING ON AUGUST 9TH:
- Updated and Printed Student Information sheet for EACH child in your family. Please sign and date each document.
- Updated and Printed Annual Health and Custody Form for EACH child in your family. Please sign and date each document.
- Completed Fee Sheet for EACH child in your family.
