NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Advisors: Ms. Bazan & Mrs. Apold
Welcome to the Deerfield High School National Honor Society webpage. The National Honor Society is a National Organization that honors students that have not only shown academic achievement, like our school’s honor roll, but have demonstrated a strong character through leadership and service to others.
Membership is a nationally recognized honor because the selection criteria and procedure are similar across the country. Selection to the NHS allows you to list your membership on college, scholarship and job applications; as well as, your personal resume for future needs. It will be another way to give you special recognition for your achievements and character.
The Deerfield National Honor Society has made a commitment to service and completes monthly service projects to aide others within our community. We hold an annual Cancer Awareness Week, raise money for the local Giving Tree each year, and hold a teacher in jail day to collect food for the Deerfield Food Pantry.
