What is Algebra I?
Algebra is the branch of mathematics concerning the study of the rules of operations and relations, and the constructions and concepts arising from them, including variables, terms, polynomials, equations and algebraic structures. Emphasis will be placed on solving linear equations, solving systems of linear equations, solving inequalities, and solving quadratic equations. Concepts of analytic geometry, including slope, intercepts, parallel and perpendicular lines, are also part of the study of Algebra.
