DISTRICT GOALS

Student Achievement

The Deerfield Community School District will provide high quality programs for all students that lead to the continued improvement on all measures of academic achievement.

2011-2012 Goal Statements:

a. Strengthen and implement student growth measures to foster and promote academic growth and progress over time

b.  Use the RACE (Research, Analyze, Communicate, Evaluate) Model to review existing middle school practices, curriculum and student achievement data to further improve instruction and student experiences

District and School Climate/Wellness

The Deerfield Community School District will provide a safe, secure, and connected environment for students, staff and community.

2011-2012 Goal Statements:

a.  Strengthen the district-wide approach to promoting positive character and citizenship behaviors

b.  Maintain a collaborative relationship with the district employee unions during the transition to post-collective bargaining

Community Relations

The Deerfield Community School District will strive for meaningful collaboration with stakeholders and will ensure that communication between school, home, and community is continual and open.

a.  Increase parental involvement with academics at grades 7-12

Budget and Finance

The Deerfield Community School District will devote resources to the district priorities in a fiscally responsible manner.
